Payment arrangements
Legal assistance under an engagement agreement may be paid for by bank transfer to the association’s account with Alfa-Bank JSC, or in cash at the association’s cash office. Transfers are commission-free for Alfa-Bank customers as stated in our Russian payment information.
An advocate may receive cash from a client for payment into the association’s cash office. Payment is confirmed by a cash receipt voucher bearing the Chief Accountant’s signature and the association’s stamp.
How legal assistance is arranged
The association is a non-profit organisation. Under the Russian rules described on our contacts page, it is not subject to Federal Law No. 54-FZ on cash-register equipment.
The association does not itself provide legal assistance. Under the Federal Law on Advocacy and the Legal Profession in the Russian Federation, the legal assistance agreement is concluded between the client and the advocate. The association is not a party to that agreement.
The association acts as tax agent for advocates who are its members.
